Service Description

You will start off by meeting at our facility just across from Callendar park where we provide free parking. on arrival you will be met by one of our bike enthusiasts who will briefly talk you through the operation of the tandem bike. You will get a 5 minute practice session within our grounds before heading off on our adventure. Although daunting to begin with, the bike is very easy to get to grips with. The bike benefits from each rider being able to cycle independently meaning the if one person stops pedalling, their pedals stop too! the person at the back is the 'stoker' and should maintain a relaxed but stable riding position and is responsible for pedalling where as the person up front 'captain' is responsible for complete control of the bike including braking and changing gear and steering. we advise if there is significant weight difference between riders that the heaviest captains the tandem for a better quality ride. Once you are confident you can take off and start exploring! we have a 3 mile a 10 mile and an 18 mile mile route (map provided) the 3 mile route showcases Callendar park and Callendar house where the 10 mile route incorporates the Falkirk football stadium and the helix park before letting you come face to face with the Kelpies! if you're feeling up to the challenge then why not try the epic 18 mile route which also incorporates the falkirk wheel, a stretch of the canal plus a few hills! Each timeslot allows time to comfortably do selected route while also allowing time to stop for photographs, refreshments etc. Free helmet hire included in price* Routes as a guide only. The bike is entirely yours for the duration of the hire so go wherever you want! IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Both riders will be asked to sign a waiver of liability prior to the bike being released for hire. We require that you bring your original Photo ID (drivers license or passport) of which we will take a copy. You will be required to leave a cash deposit of £30 which is refunded upon a satisfactory return inspection of the bike. ALL BOOKINGS ARE NON REFUNDABLE
