Late 19th to early 20th century Bonheur de Jour or writing bureau, the upper section enclosed by fall front decorated with geometric mouldings and oval inlaid panels depicting floral urns and swags, fitted with document divisions and two small drawers, the lower section fitted with two drawers with applied mouldings, on turned supports united by undertier, 'Hobbs & Co of London' locks. The key's supplied do not operate the locks, these are purely to act as handles.
