19th century French renaissance carved oak armchair. Gorgeous 19th century French Antique throne chair / armchair in the Renaissance revival period featuring griffins in the crest and lion head armrests. Fully hand carved from European oak with marvellous patina. Richly decorated with barely twisted rods. The arm rests are carved lion heads. Upholstered in a patterned upholstery depicting hunting scenes etc. very impressive piece of large proportions.
