Late 19th century French inlaid rosewood ladies bureau secretaire. The fall flap opens to reveal a felt lined writing surface. The interior is made from a contrasting maple wood with 2 drawers and a storage compartment below. Brass gallery on the top with brasswith high quality Ormolu mounts. Elegant form and simply exquisite. Includes a key to act as a handle but it doesn't work the lock. 
This piece was hand-picked by us while on our French road trip which started at Saint-Malo and ended in Calais.
