Silver jubilee commemorative chair by Hands of Wycombe C.1977
Crafted by renowned furniture makers Hands of Wycombe (William Hands) in Buckinghamshire, England. These chairs were commissioned in 1977 as limited-edition commemorative replicas of the official "Peers' Chairs" used by guests and dignitaries inside Westminster Abbey during the original 1953 Coronation ceremony. Built with a sturdy limed oak frame, upholstered in premium royal blue velvet, and finished with a distinct gold braid trim. The upper corner features a beautifully embroidered Royal Cypher (EIIR), topped with Saint Edward's Crown, detailed with the commemorative text "Silver Jubilee 1952–1977"
